Developing
a Traditional S.T.E.M. Education: Middle School
This
book tells the story of what I had to do to launch a gifted student.
And while this is a book about how I homeschooled my college bound,
highly gifted student, it is also a book any parent can use to formulate
a traditional education with an emphasis on S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology,
Engineering and Mathematics) at home.
I
found teaching basics was a great springboard into more advanced
topics. It was what some might call a “long game” for
my student. A long game is the notion that you do something small
today and it will compound over the years.
Everything
I did was based in traditional education and I used a mountain of
resources because that’s what my student needed. Everything
I did, all of the resources I used and examples of all the documents
I needed to generate are included in this book.
