All students participating in GSE programs must be high school graduates and at least 18 years of age. Fluency may be used to determine eligibility to enroll in some courses and programs. GSE strongly recommends that students have at least one semester of college level language classes in the language of their preferred host country.

Earthwatch Institute
Earthwatch Institute is an international non-profit organization that brings science to life for people concerned about the Earth's future.Earthwatch recruits close to 4,000 volunteers every year to collect field data in the areas of rainforest ecology, wildlife conservation, marine science, archaeology, and more. Through this process, we educate, inspire, and involve a diversity of people, who actively contribute to conserving our planet. This international nonprofit organization places paying volunteers of all ages on short-term research expeditions worldwide.

Tropical Marine Biology: Odyssey Expeditions
Odyssey Expeditions Tropical Marine Biology Voyages offers educational adventure programs for high school and college students aboard sailing catamarans in the British Virgin Islands and Windward Islands (St. Lucia, St. Vincent, Martinique, Dominica). Greenforce USA located in Nelsonville, Ohio is the North American partner organization of Greenforce based in London, England. Greenforce offers hands-on volunteer and ecotourism study abroad opportunities throughout most of the Earth’s major continents.
